With over 20 years of experience in community organizing, Magalis is a recognized leader in environmental non-profit organizations. She is bilingual, holds a master's degree in business administration, and is a founder member of the Domestic Bill of Rights in Massachusetts. Magalis serves on the boards of Greater Boston Legal Services, Boston Women’s Fund, and the National Domestic Workers Alliance. She is also a founder of the American Alliance, an immigrant national organization dedicated to immigration issues at a national and transnational level.
